Year 2 at Forest School

Year 2 have been very fortunate over the past few weeks, as we have visited Forest School each Friday afternoon. We have had a fantastic time and have learnt many new skills. For example, we have developed our teamwork and listening skills on some of the tasks that we’ve done, like den-building and tree climbing.

We’ve created some beautiful pieces of art using only the natural resources found in the forest.

Mr Young taught us how to make mud sculptures on the tree bark and decorate them with leaves, twigs and other decorative objects found on the forest floor.

Our favourite part of Forest School has been the camp fire. We’ve had so much fun with Mrs Westhead making up our own camp songs!

Mrs Harrison makes the best hot chocolate ever and we love washing our biscuits down with a steaming-hot cup!
