During a period of school closure (either a local lockdown or when a class has to self-isolate due to a positive case) we will continue to provide your child with the essential resources to continue with their learning whilst at home. We understand that this is a difficult time for both children and adults and endeavour to provide support at these times with regular contact through Seesaw or Tapestry, text messages, school website and phone calls.
Your child’s teacher will upload each day’s lessons onto the child’s seesaw account, which will consist of online videos, PowerPoints and follow up activities for a variety of lessons. Additional tasks may also be set depending on the child’s age or ability. The links will open automatically when clicked using a tablet. If you are using a laptop or PC please download google chrome as these videos need this updated version.
To access Seesaw, the children have been given their own QR code which they can scan using the camera on a tablet or webcam. Those accessing Seesaw from a browser can click on the following web address: https://app.seesaw.me/#/login Children should click on the tab, ‘I’m a Student’ and type in the text code (without any spaces) which can be found below their QR code.
If a class is sent home to isolate, we will also send home a pack containing CGP workbooks in case the children have trouble logging onto the online resources and an exercise book for them to record any work they are asked to do – these will be returned to school to be marked.
Resources found within ‘Home Learning’ will be updated when appropriate.
