Spanish Week 2017
Pupils have had a tremendous time celebrating our annual Spanish week. The fun began with our reveal assembly, when each class discovered which Spanish city they would be studying in further detail.
On the Monday morning, pupils excitedly entered the ‘airport’ where they checked their luggage in and presented their boarding passes and passports to the airline staff. It wasn’t long before the flight to Barcelona began. Pupils studied the on-board safety demonstrations before we took off, safely in the hands of our pilot Frank Abergnale.
After a spot of in-flight entertainment, in the form of Spanish-speaking Dora the Explorer, it was time to land in Spain and explore our chosen cities!
All children were treated to a Spanish lesson throughout the week and learnt a special Spanish dance – which we all performed in the whole-school celebration assembly the following Monday. Children joined together to share their new learning with their peers.
What a fantastic week at St Albert’s!
