Harvest Festival
This week at St Albert’s, we celebrated our Harvest Festival. On Monday, we were very privileged to welcome Moira Devlin from CAFOD into our school. The children listened very well to the assembly that Moira did and took on her key messages about being mindful to not waste food and think about those less fortunate than ourselves. We also learnt about our brothers and sisters all around the world who harvest their own food and the work that CAFOD do to help.
The children of St Albert’s made us very proud by donating food for our harvest celebrations. On Thursday, a volunteer from the local foodbank came into school to collect the donations. These will all now go to those in need. A huge thank-you goes to all of those who helped and spared what they could – it really does make a difference to those in need.
