The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves during this activity and completely embraced the role play of police constables. They looked at evidence closely and discussed ideas for who the culprit could be. Next they presented their case to the judges (teachers). The children were asked to give reasons why the were accusing their chosen suspect, they had to include motive and evidence to support their case. Each of the groups gave put forward an excellent case using prior knowledge and inference skills.
All teachers involved were very proud of their children and Mrs McEvoy was very ‘impressed’ with the children effort and knowledge.
