Curriculum

St. Albert’s will provide a broad and balanced curriculum which fulfils the Mission Statement and which is in accordance with the requirements of the National Curriculum.

All pupils will study; English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Art, Design Technology, Information Communication Technology, Physical Education and Music.

We are committed to providing a skills based, topic approach to learning and use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to support us in this approach.  Children learn the majority of their History, Geography, Art and Music through IPC topics.  Children are very enthusiastic about this approach to learning and it provides a international aspect to each topic.

An inspirational and memorable curriculum is also promoted at St Albert’s and we endeavour to provide challenging and fun experiences for all our children, focusing on the following dimensions:

    • Play
    • Thinking Skills
    • Enterprise Capabilities
    • Literacy and the Arts
    • Awe, Wonder, Spirituality
