Welcome to Year 4
Class Teacher: Miss Barker
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Bayley and Mr White
Welcome to Our Year 4 Class Page!
We’re so excited to kick off a fantastic year of learning and discovery! Here’s a sneak peek into the amazing topics we’ll explore together:
In Science, we’ll dive into the fascinating worlds of electricity, sound, and the states of matter—all through hands-on experiments and fun activities! Get ready to journey through time in History, as we learn about the Tudors, explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt, and uncover the
story of the Great Plague. Geography takes us to Poland (not literally) and we’ll also explore the paths of rivers, and learn all about the life- sustaining water cycle. Our reading adventures will take us through captivating stories like Charlotte’s Web, The Boy at the Back of the Classroom, Pugs of the Frozen North, and even the Shakespearian play of Macbeth. Creativity will flow during our DT lessons, as we design and build a game with an electrical circuit and grow our own herbs for a healthy snack. We’ll express ourselves through storytelling with drawing in Art,
and pattern making, blending creativity with learning. This page will keep you updated with important class information, useful resources, and tips to support your child’s learning at home. We can’t wait to make this year a memorable one for our Year 4 explorers!
Let’s make this year amazing!
