Year 3

Welcome to Year 3! We are so excited to begin this new school year together and can’t wait to share all the fantastic learning adventures ahead. This year promises to be full of curiosity, creativity, and discovery. From stepping back in time with the Romans in history, to exploring the dramatic world of volcanoes and earthquakes in geography, there will be plenty of opportunities to spark imaginations and deepen our understanding of the world around us. In science, we’ll be investigating light and how it helps us to see the world, while in art we’ll get hands-on experimenting with charcoal to create bold and expressive drawings. Our DT project will be delicious and practical too, as we design and make our very own healthy sandwiches!

We’ll also be diving into some wonderful books together, including The Wild Robot and Ug: The Stone Age Boy, which will inspire our reading and writing as well as lots of exciting classroom discussions. Year 3 is a chance for children to grow in independence, take on new challenges, and enjoy learning in lots of different ways. We know it’s going to be an amazing year, and we look forward to working with you and your children to make it one full of fun, creativity, and success.
