As the headteacher of St Albert’s Catholic Primary school I would like to welcome you to our school website, and I hope that you find it helpful and informative. It is designed to provide parent/carers or visitors with support and information about our school.
St Albert’s is an Outstanding Catholic School (March 2024) with Christ and the Child at the heart of all that we do. Our school mission is ‘Walking together with Jesus to Love, Learn and Serve’ and this is embedded throughout the school and what we are all about.
Our children are taught to follow in Jesus’ footsteps and to respect the gospel values. In particular, we promote the gospel values of Kindness, Peace, Love, Justice, Integrity, Forgiveness, Simplicity, Humility, Compassion, Love, and Hope as we nurture and develop our children as loving Christians.
We have a well established and thriving Nursery school which welcomes 30 hour children and we also have a 2YO Provison called Alby Tots. These are highly regarded by our local community and thriving provisions.
St Albert’s is a warm and happy school where everyone is welcomed and greeted with a smile. We celebrate differences and treat everyone with respect. We are an inclusive school with a diverse population. We serve a high number of children with SEND and we consider this to be a strength of our school as we strive to remove barriers and support every child on their journey through school.
Our teachers and staff are dedicated to achieving the very best for our children and we work in close partnership with our families. Our children and families see us as a safe haven and a place of support and encouragement. Our door is always open and we are here to listen, help and support.
We are situated in a quiet corner of Stockbridge Village and we are surrounded by beautiful countryside. We have extensive school grounds and a thriving forest school. We have recently launched a new approach to Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) and the school community is embracing this with enthusiasm. The introduction of OPAL is very exciting as it has so many advantages and benefits for all of our children. Please watch our journey on our Instagram account as we work to ensure our children’s play environment and experiences are enjoyable and fulfilling.
As the headteacher of St Albert’s for the past 15 years, I have been fortunate to have the pleasure of watching our children grow, learn , achieve and enjoy school on a daily basis. I am extremely proud of our school’s many successes and how we all work together as a family.we are a busy school and there is always something happening as we seek to open doors to our children’s futures.
Please feel free to call and make an appointment to visit our school if you require additional information. You may also find our X (formerly twitter) account @StalbertsRc or our Instagram account stalbertscatholicprimaryschool helpful as we post to these regularly.
