Early Years
For our youngest pupils we teach handwriting lessons, aligned to our phonics scheme Monster Phonics. The scheme is rooted in phonics principles. It combines phonics instruction with handwriting practice, creating a strong foundation for both reading and writing.
Key Stage One and Two
From Key Stage One, we use LetterJoin to teach handwriting. LetterJoin is a fun, interactive programme that helps children develop neat, fluent, and consistent handwriting. Using engaging animations and activities, pupils learn correct letter formation, joins, and writing style. The scheme also supports spelling and fine motor skills, helping children take pride in their written work.
Children can access LetterJoin at home, allowing them to practise and improve their handwriting skills in an enjoyable way.
